Abstract

A colour changing attachment for a flat bed type knitting machine is situated at one end of the needle bed. It consists of carrying arms for thread guide eyes, which are moved from a rest position, over to the stitch cam unit to transfer the guide eyes and the movement in reverse. A spring moves the arm into the transfer position for it to strike a shoulder on the stitch cam, which returns the arm after transfer. There are catches to hold the carriers in the rear and transfer position, and a part on the stitch cam to release the carriers after the transfer.
