Abstract

Packaging film for fresh meat consists of a major part of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and 0.5-6% wt. on copolymer of an anti-blocking agent consisting of a partial ester, contg. >=1 free hydroxyl grp., of a water-sol. C2-6 polyol and a C5-24 aliphatic monocarboxylic acid, or a C2-3 polyalkyleneoxy deriv. of the ester contg. 2-100 ethylene oxide or propylene oxide units per molecule. The film has a high clarity and high permeability to oxygen combined with good antiblocking properties. The film is easily handled on high speed machines.
