Abstract
A rotatable endless screw is connected by a shaft to a gear carried on the warp let-off beam, and a guide provided on the screw carries a weight which applies a torque to the warp beam via the endless screw, the shaft and the gear. Warp yarn passes from the warp beam over a bar mounted on a pivotal arm, and increase in warp yarn tension lowers the bar, causing the lever to pivot and actuate a clutch to transmit rotation to the endless screw. As the screw rotates the guide moves along it thereby reducing the torque applied to the warp beam by the weight.
