Abstract
1,232,380. Warp let-off motion. RUTI MACHINERY WORKS Ltd. 9 Dec, 1969 [9 Dec., 1968], No. 60143/69. Heading D1E. A warp let-off motion for a terry loom comprises a warp feeding roller, a brake 21 therefor, a clutch with a driven part 13 connected to the roller and a driving part 14 connected to drive means 35 by a linkage 37, 38 which oscillates the part 14 and has an adjustable throw. As shown a cam track 28 and the cam' 35 are integral and are fixed to a spindle rotatable with the main control shaft of the loom. In use as the cams rotate the three armed lever 24, 25, 26 is pivoted clockwise to engage the clutch and then release the brake 21. Then the three armed lever 31, 32, 33 is pivoted and through the adjustable connection 38 pivots the linkage arm 39 and hence; through the clutch, rotates the feeding roller. The lever 24, 25, 26 then pivots to reengage the brake- 21 followed by disengagement of the clutch and finally the lever 31, 32, 33 returns the arm 39 to its starting position. Stops 40, 41 are provided for the arm 33, to reduce its throw and hence the rotation of the feeding roller, for weaving a material with different pile lengths.
