Abstract

1,223,157. Vibrators; chain gearing. DELMAG - VERWALTUNGS G.m.b.H. 27 May, 1968 [27 May, 1967], No. 25177/68. Headings F2Q and F2X. The phase relation between two eccentric masses 4, 5, Fig. 2, connected to drive wheels 6, 7 so as to rotate in opposite directions is varied by moving two reversing wheels 11, 12, transmitting the drive by a chain 8 from one wheel 7 to the other wheel 6, equally in opposite directions by two racks 13, 14 engaging opposite sides of a gear 15. In another embodiment, Fig. 3, the reversing wheels 11a, 12a are rotatable on the ends of levers 31, 32 and are engaged by the forked ends of a lever 34 pivoted on an axially adjustable pivot 35 and rotated by for example a cable 37 to move the wheels 11a, 12a equally in opposite directions. Alternatively the levers 31, 32 may be replaced by levers shown in dotted lines or the wheels 11a, 12a may be rotatable on the ends of the lever 34, the levers 31, 32 guiding the wheels 11a, 12a or being dispensed with.
