Abstract

The U-shaped chamber has perforated walls and the textile web is advanced, pref in a folded state, through the chamber by drive pulleys arranged above the chamber. Several chambers are arranged side by side in a closed container and treatment fluid (e.g. dye bleach) in the container passes through the perforated walls into each chamber to treat the webs passing through each chamber. Pref. fluid is drawn off from the bottom of the container and heated before being sprayed onto each web as it passes to its associated drive pulleys. Several webs can be treated simultaneously using the same fluid.
