Abstract

Guide eliminates limitations on the frequency or magnitude of the traverse motion due to the mechanical characteristics by employing pneumatic pressures for imparting reciprocal traverse motion to the traverse element. They also provide self-cleaning of the mechanism. In operation, traverse motion is imparted by alternately introducing pressurised air to the ends of the cylinder so that the guide element carrying a yarn drawn from the supply bobbin will run reciprocally along the axial length of the take-up bobbin.
