Abstract
1,063,181. Yarn and sliver guides. M. REITER. March 9, 1965 [March 9, 1964], No. 9885/65. Headings DID and DIN. Apparatus for cross winding yarn or, as shown roving 15 has a yarn or roving guide Lu in the form of a flexible tube with an inner surface having recesses or projections. As shown the tube lies between a fixed bracket and a bracket H 2 which is traversed on a bar 14 (Fig. 2, not shown); alternatively the tube is stationary and the bobbin is traversed. The tube may be a spring steel helix with contiguous coils (Fig. 3 not shown) held together by a cord or wire welded therein. The tube may be surrounded by a tube or tape of P.V.C. In another form the tube is a series of metal rings contained in a flexible sleeve e.g. of P.V.C. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 883,609.
