Abstract

On the traverse guide eye of a winding machine is fitted a tension compensator, to even out tension variations during the traversing of the guide eye. Yarn is led round a small pillar to the traverse guide. Between these is a small compensating spring, which puts tension on at the point of the reversing traverse.
