Abstract

A circular tank is fitted with an axial pump which is fitted with a vertical suction device; this draws water from the base and centre of the tank and forces it back through a distributor as an annular jet to the free surface of the tank. The jet penetrates at an angle of 30 degrees and entrains air which is forced into the water. The jet said mixing and flocculation of the suspended matter.
