Abstract

Food prods. are obtained by prepg. a flour-based paste contng. 10-70% of fats and a small quantity of yeast to produce a leavened paste; using starchy products or meats for the filling, pref. after pre-cooking; preforming the sandwich by spreading the paste around the edges of the filling; pre-cooking in an oven and at the same time sealing the edges; packing the pre-cooked sandwich in a gas-tight enevelope, pref. in an inert gas, at a pressure of 200-700 mm. Hg; and sterilising the whole assembly in an autoclave.
