Abstract

In a modification of hydraulic extrusion presses, the lubricant is contained in and fed from a separate chamber. It is fed spec. into the annular space around the billet being extruded either at the die end of the billet or in front of the ram, or behind the ram, by means of a separate piston and in quantities not necessarily depending on the advance of the ram itself.
