Abstract
1,107,872. Extruding. IMPERIAL METAL INDUSTRIES (KYNOCH) Ltd. 24 Feb., 1966 [8 March, 1965], No. 9738/65. Heading B3P. An extrudible metal 8 is cold extruded from a container 1 by surrounding this metal with a more ductile metal 9 to which pressure is applied by a ram 2 to force the extrudible metal through a die 3. A billet 8 of titanium may be surrounded by lead 9 which forms a pressure transmitting medium. Copper seals 5 are pro. vided for ram 2 and die 3.
