Abstract

Bag of thermoplastic material, esp. a self-service packaging, consists of two folded or bonded material layers, and a lower part forming the packaging space, and an upper part in which an optionally printed cardboard strip is placed, this strip being provided with an opening for hanging up. The first material layer (5) is continuous over the whole length of both bag parts (1,2), while the second layer consists of a part (7) extending only over the length of the lower bag part (2), to form an opening (10) on its upperside, and a part (12) consisting of semi-rigid plastics, and extending from the upper edge (6') of the bag over the length of the upper bag part past a bonding seam (13) with the first layer (5) at the transition into the lower bag part (2), so that a flap (12') over the opening (10) is formed.
