Abstract
1475631 Flotation apparatus ESCHER WYSS GmbH 13 Jan 1975 [13 Feb 1974] 1344/75 Heading B2H In a froth flotation apparatus comprising a container 1 provided with at least one foam trough 8, the movement of foam 15 towards the trough(s) is brought about by gas blown through pipes 16. Each trough 8, into which the foam flows and from which it is discharged is provided with a high lateral wall 10 on its downstream side and a lower adjustable wall 11 on its upstream side. The suspension to be treated e.g. a fibre suspension obtained from waste paper, is introduced into the container 1 through an inlet 2 and is subjected to the action of air bubbles introduced into the suspension through pipes 13. The treated suspension passes over a wall 5 of adjustable height and leaves the container through an outlet 3.
