Claims (13)
1. Förfarande för framställning av ett vaccin som innehäller en polysackaridantigen av Staphylococcus epi- 5 dermis, kännetecknat av att man odlar celler av ett typ I isolat av S. epidermis som agglutinerar antiserum mot ATCC 55254; extraherar polysackarideantigen frän cellerna för att producera ett räextrakt av typ I polysackaridantigen; 10 renar räextraktet för att producera renad antigen som innehäller mindre än 1 % protein; laddar den renade antigenen pä en separationsko-lonn och eluerar den med en NaCl-gradient; och identifierar och isolerar fraktioner innehällande 15 typ I polysackaridantigen genom att använda antikroppar som är specifika mot ett typ I isolat, och blandar antigenen med en steril farmaceutiskt acceptabel bärare.
2. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknat av att NaCl-gradienten är 0 - 0,3 M. 20

Förfarande för framställning av ett hyperim- 20 munoglobulin som innehäller antikroppar mot Staphylococcus epidermis polysackarid antigen som har erhällits med ett förfarande där man odlar celler av ett typ I isolat av S. epidermis som agglutinerar antiserum mot ATCC 55254; 25 extraherar polysackarideantigen frän cellerna för att producera ett räextrakt av typ I polysackaridantigen; renar räextraktet för att producera renad antigen som innehäller mindre än 1 % protein; laddar den renade antigenen pä en separationsko- 30 lonn och eluerar den med en NaCl-gradient; och identifierar och isolerar fraktioner innehällande typ I polysackaridantigen genom att använda antikroppar som är specifika mot ett typ I isolat känneteck-n a t av att 35 hyperimmunoglobulinet erhälls frän plasma som in nehäller ifrägavarande antikroppar.
