LA ENZIMA SE FORMA A PARTIR DE LA CEPA BACTERIANA <BACILLUS LICHENIFORMIS ATCC 9945>, QUE SE FERMENTA EN CONDICIONES AEROBIAS Y PUEDE SER AISLADA A PARTIR DE LAS CELULAS, DESPUES DE UNA DISGREGACION, SIRVIENDO LA TRANSFORMACION DE CEFALOSPORINA C (CPC) EN A-CETOACIDOS PARA DAR A-CETOADIPINIL-7-AMINOCEFALOSPORANICO COMO CRITERIO PARA EL DESCUBRIMIENTO DE LA FRACCION EN LA QUE SE ENCUENTRA LA ENZIMA.
