CONSISTE EN MEZCLAR UNA SAL HIDRATADA DE SULFATO DE COBRE, TAL COMO LA SAL PENTAHIDRATADA, CON OXIDO O HIDROXIDO DE CALCIO, AMBOS EN ESTADO SECO; SOMETER LA MEZCLA SECA A MOLIENDA DURANTE UN PERIODO DE REACCION PARA LA FORMACION DEL PRODUCTO DESEADO EN PRESENCIA DE AGUA LIBRE LIBERADA DE LA SAL HIDRATADA; Y SECAR LA MEZCLA HASTA REDUCIR EL CONTENIDO EN HUMEDAD A MENOS DEL 4%. LA MEZCLA SE PREPARA CON CANTIDADES ESTEQUIOMETRICAS PARA FORMAR EL COMPUESTO DE FORMULA C4SO43CU(OH)23CASO4, CONOCIDO COMO POLVO DE BURDEOS. ESTE COMPUESTO TIENE APLICACIONES AGROQUIMICAS POR SUS PROPIEDADES FUNGICIDAS.
