Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the stability of a highly water- absorptive resin composition against heat and light in a hydrated state, by adding a water-soluble phosphoric acid compound to it. CONSTITUTION:0.01-50pts.wt. water-soluble phosphoric acid compound such as tripolyphosphoric acid, pyrophosphoric acid, metaphosphoric acid, polyphosphoric acid, hexametaphosphoric acid or a salt thereof is added to 100 pts.wt. highly water-absorptive resin of a particle diameter of 10-600mesh, such as partially neutralized polyacrylic acid.
