A UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA DE CARBONATO SODICO SE AÑADE CARBONATO SODICO ANHIDRO LIGERO Y EL LIQUIDO RESULTANTE SE SOMETE A UN TRATAMIENTO DE MADURACION, EN UN AMBITO DE TEMPERATURAS SUPERIOR A LA TEMPERATURA DE TRANSICION DEL CARBONATO SODICO MONOHIDRATADO A CARBONATO SODICO ANHIDRO. SE APLICA EN LA INDUSTRIA, PARTICULARMENTE EN CRISTALERIA Y SIDERURGIA, CUANDO ES PRECISO DISPONER DE CARBONATO SODICO BIEN CRISTALIZADO EXENTO DE FINOS Y CON BUENA RESISTENCIA A LA ABRASION.
