EL PROCEDIMIENTO SE CARACTERIZA PORQUE SE RECURRE A LA CATALISIS HETEROGENEA MEDIANTE LA PUESTA EN CONTACTO DE POR LO MENOS UN MONOMERO GASEOSOS EN LAS CONDICIONES DE REACCION, CON UN CATALIZADOR SOLIDO, EN UNA ZONA DE POLIMERIZACION AGITADA; PORQUE SE UTILIZA UNA ZONA DE POLIMERIZACION DELIMITADA POR UNA PARED ESFERICA; Y PORQUE SE REALIZA LA AGITACION CON LA AYUDA DE UN CONJUNTO DE TURBINA CON PALAS, ARRASTRADAS EN ROTACION.
