Abstract
Device for controlling the air content in hydraulic storage containers, preferably designed as cylinders, of water supply installations. A passage in the form of a Venturi tube (20, 24, 22) having a vacuum chamber (24) which is used to supply air during the restoration of the liquid level in the storage container (3) is provided in a lower connection piece (18) of the storage container. A passage (44, 38, 36) of restricted cross-section extends from the vacuum chamber (24) to a mouth (44A) which opens in the region corresponding to the highest liquid level during operation. An air inlet valve (27) which is assigned to the vacuum chamber (24) permits the supply of air when the vacuum increases as a result of plunging the mouth (44A) of the passage of restricted cross-section into the liquid.
