SE OBTIENE EL COMPUESTO (III) EN QUE R'' ES ALCOHILO INFERIOR; R Y R SON HIDROGENO O ALCOHILO INFERIOR Y X SE SELECCIONA DE ENTRE UN ALCOHILO INFERIOR, Y BALOALCOHILO. LA REACCION PUEDE EFECTUARSE EN PRESENCIA DE UNA CANTIDAD CATALITICA DE ACIDO PARA-TOLUENSULFONICO. LA MEZCLA DE REACCION PUEDE CALENTARSE A TEMPERATURA DE 100 A 140<025>C DURANTE UN TIEMPO DE 1 A 8 HORAS, TRAS LO CUAL SE AÑADE CARBONATO SODICO PARA NEUTRALIZAR EL CATALIZADOR.
