Abstract

The pressure cooker lid is capable of being closed pressure tight by a bayonet lock with a sealing rinq. Grip handles are attached to both the lid and the pot and radially project from them. They are positioned one above the other when closed. There is also a pressure limiting and an outlet valve with the latter closable by pressure within the cooker. The handle fixed to the lid (5) is fitted with a turning knob (6) which at least partially extends inwards beyond the lid edge (2). The outlet valve (33) is attached to the lid below the turning knob (6) and the movable plunger (32) of the outlet valve (33) is adjustable between an outlet and a closed position. The plunger engages either directly or indirectly with a ring shaped curve plate (31) permitting various positions of the plunger within the outlet valve.
