PROCEDIMIENTO DE DESCARBURACION DE UNA FUNDICION CON CONTENIDOS DE CR DEL 10 AL 30 POR 100, DE HASTA UN 30 POR 100 DE NI, DEL 1,5 AL 8 POR 100 EN C Y EVENTUALES ADICIONES DE CO, MN Y MO. CONSISTE EN EFECTUAR LA DESCARBURACION EN UN CONVERTIDOR DE REFRACTARIO BASICO POR MEDIO DE UN CHORRO DE OXIGENO QUE POSEE UNA ZONA SUPERSONICA QUE IMPACTA CONTRA LA SUPERIFICIE DE LA FUNCION LIQUIDA PROVOCANDO, AL MENOS EN LA FASE FINAL DE LA DESCARBURACION, LA FORMACION DE UNA EMULSION DE GAS-FUNDICION EN EL SENO DE LA CUAL EL CARBONO ES OXIDADO DIRECTAMENTE POR EL OXIGENO, EMPEZANDO ESTA FASE FINAL CUANDO EL CONTENIDO DE CARBONO DE LA FUNDICION DE CROMO-NIQUEL ES IGUAL A CD/N, EN QUE CD REPRESENTA EL PORCENTAJE DE C INICIAL DE LA FUNDICION Y N ESTA COMPRENDIDO ENTRE 1, Y 2,5. TAL DESCARBURACION POR ACCION DIRECTA DEL OXIGENO SOBRE EL BAÑO SE HACE PROSEGUIR HASTA UN CONTENIDO DE C EN EL BAÑO INFERIOR AL 0,3 POR 100, CONSIGUIENDOE DE ESTA FORMA RENDIMIENTOS EN CR DEL 97 POR 100 MINIMO SIN ADICION DE ELEMENTOS NI COMPUESTOS REDUCTORES. PARA QUE SE FORME LA EMULSION DE GAS-FUNDICION SE DEBE SATISFACER QUE TD+65 CD >= 1.740, DESIGUALDAD EN QUE CD TIENE EL SIGNIFICADO ANTERIORMENTE DICHO Y TD REPRESENTA LA TEMPERATURA INICIAL DE LA FUNDICION LIQUIDA EN C.
