CONSISTE EN EFECTUAR LA DESCARBURACION EN UN CONVERTIDOR DE REFRACTARIO BASICO POR MEDIO DE UN CHORRO DE OXIGENO QUE POSEE UNA ZONA SUPERSONICA QUE IMPACTA CONTRA LA SUPERIFICIE DE LA FUNCION LIQUIDA PROVOCANDO, AL MENOS EN LA FASE FINAL DE LA DESCARBURACION, LA FORMACION DE UNA EMULSION DE GAS-FUNDICION EN EL SENO DE LA CUAL EL CARBONO ES OXIDADO DIRECTAMENTE POR EL OXIGENO, EMPEZANDO ESTA FASE FINAL CUANDO EL CONTENIDO DE CARBONO DE LA FUNDICION DE CROMO-NIQUEL ES IGUAL A CD/N, EN QUE CD REPRESENTA EL PORCENTAJE DE C INICIAL DE LA FUNDICION Y N ESTA COMPRENDIDO ENTRE 1, Y 2,5.
