CONSISTE EN TRATAR LAS AGUAS RESIDUALES QUE CONTIENEN COMPUESTOS DE FOSFORO CON UNO O MAS COMPUESTOS METALICOS EN UN LECHO FLUIDIZADO DE PARTICULAS DE FOSFATO METALICO, PARA FORMAR COMPUESTOS DE FOSFATO METALICO INSOLUBLES EN EL AGUA. COMO COMPUESTOS METALICOS SE SUELEN UTILIZAR PREFERENTEMENTE LOS DE HIERRO, CALCIO Y ALUMINIO. LOS FOSFATOS METALICOS INSOLUBLES PUEDEN SEPARARSE DEL AGUA POR PRECIPITACION, APROVECHANDO PARTE DE ELLOS EN LA INDUSTRIA O COMO FERTILIZANTES.
