Abstract
The carburettor has a main orifice (13) from the float chamber (8) to a fuel passage (12) which leads to the base of an atomising tube (15). The tube is supported on a bar (5) across the air intake (2,1) above the throttle (6). It has outlets (14) at the throat of the venturi (4) and a primary air inlet (18) upstream of this. A venting passage (20) leads from the fuel passage (12) into the float chamber above the level of the fuel. An auxiliary passage (22) joins the venting passage to the throat of the venturi. It rises above the level at which the venting passage opens into the float chamber.
