  • Control Of The Air-Fuel Ratio Of Carburetors (AREA)

Abstract

PURPOSE: To atomize the fuel in a carburetor by feedback control of the air with the arrangment of an air nozzle opposed to a main nozzle at a proper interval therefrom.
CONSTITUTION: A main nozzle 10 communicating with a float chamber 7 is opened to a small venturi 3 formed in an intake manifold 1. An air nozzle 20 is also opened to the small venturi 3 at a position opposing to and apart properly from the main nozzle 10. The air nozzle 20 is designed to have a larger diameter than the main nozzle 10 thereby permitting a correction of the fuel by the air. An air passage 18 communicating with the air nozzle 20 is provided with an electromagnetic valve 19, which is feedback controlled by a control unit 25 based on a signal outputted from an exhaust sensor 24 provided within an exhaust passage 23. Thus the amount of air collided to the fuel is controlled desirably.
