PROCEDIMIENTO DE SEPARACION DE LOS DOS ISOMEROS OPTICOS DEL MOPROLOL. CONSTA DE LAS SIGUIENTES ETAPAS: 1. SOLIDIFICACION DEL MOPROLOL RACEMICO CON ACIDO L(+) GLUTAMICO. 2. REACCION DE LA MEZCLA OBTENIDA CON UNA MEZCLA DE ISOPROPANOL-METANOL-AGUA SEPARANDOSE LA SAL INSOLUBLE DE L(+) GLUTAMATO DE (+) MOPROLOL. 3. DESECACION DE LAS AGUAS MADRES RESULTANTES, EXTRAYENDO A CONTINUACION LAS MISMAS CON UNA MEZCLA DE ISOPROPANOL-METANOL, FILTRANDO EL RESIDUO INSOLUBLE OBTENIDO. 4. TRATAMIENTO DE LAS AGUAS MADRES CON UNA BASE PARA SEPARAR EL ISOMERO LEVOGIRO DE MOPROLOL CRISTALINO Y PURIFICACION. TRATAMIENTO DE ANGINA PECTORIS, INFARTO DE MIOCARDIO, ARRITMIA, HIPERTENSION, ANSIEDAD, TEMOR ESENCIAL, ESQUIZOFRENIA.
