Abstract

A method for surface treating ceramic material for the purpose of metallising it. After preparing the surface by degreasing and dust removal, molten metal particles are projected on to said surface the melting and projection are carried out in a non-oxidising environment which can be either neutral or reducing. The device comprises a nozzle for a gaseous fuel and combustion supporter, and for a wire of the metal to be melted and projected.
