Abstract

Una lámpara de descagar en vapor de sodio a alta presión que tiene un tubo de descarga de material cerámico herméticamente cerrado que contiene una carga de gas que comprende sodio, mercurio y un gas noble, y conductores pasantes que se extienden a través de la pared del tubo de descarga hasta los respectivos electrodos dispuestos en el tubo de descarga, electrodos que están enrollados en sus extremos libres con hilos de wolframio, estando llenas las cavidades formadas entre las vueltas del hilo de wolframio con un material emisor de electrones, que contiene un metal alcalinotérreo combinado con oxígeno y wolframio combinado con oxígeno, caracterizada por el hecho de que el material emisor de electrones está constituido por estroncio combinado con oxígeno y wolframio combinado con oxígeno en una relación rolar que está comprendida entre 3:1 y 50:1.
