Abstract

A sheet of synthetic film is folded and welded along its lengthways running edges, to leave a flat which can be turned over the opening to seal the interior of the wallet thus formed. A layer of adhesive is applied at least along the flap, by means of a protective ribbon which can be easily pulled off. The bond when the flap is glued down is such that the wallet cannot be opened without tearing away the material of which it is made. This may be made more certain by the provision of a weakened line such as a row of perforations. The wallet is intended for the carrying of valuable documents by third parties under conditions ensuring that if the wallet has been tampered with during transit, this is immediately obvious to the receiver.
