Abstract

Procedimiento para preparar 1-fenil-2-azolil-4, 4-dimetil-1- penten-3-oles de fórmula: **(Fórmula)** es ya conocido que algunos derivados de alfa-azolil-pinacolona o derivados de alfa-azolil-acetofenona tienen actividad antimicrobiana sobre cierto microorganismos. Se ha encontrado ahora que dichos compuestos [I] que poseen grupo bencilideno y grupo hidroxi ponen de manifiesto una actividad antimicrobiana que es marcadamente superior y extensamente aplicable en comparación con sus homólogos, y además no muestran fitotoxicidad material respecto a plantas y exhiben una baja toxicidad para los mamíferos.
