Abstract

Un método de preparar una composición para revestir papel, cartón y sustratos similares, en el que una dispersión acuosa de uno o más pigmentos se mezcla con un látex copolímero, en calidad de aglutintate para el pigmento o pigmentos, producido sometiendo a polimerización por emulsión una mezcla monómera que comprende, por 100 partes totales en peso, de 35 a 65 partes en peso de unidades de estireno copolimerizado, de 30 a 60 partes en peso de unidades de 1,3-butadieno copolimerizado, de 2 a 25 partes en peso de unidades de acrilonitrilo o metacrilonitrilo copolimerizado, de 0,25 a 10 partes en peso de unidades copolimizadas de monómero de hidroxialcohilo (como se ha definido en lo que antecede), y de 0 a 5 partes en peso de unidades copolimerizadas de un ácido carboxílico insaturado copolimerizable.
