Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación de resinas de urea-formaldehido endurecibles para la impregnación y el recubrimiento de bandas continuas de soporte, con el fin de efectuar el ennoblecimiento superficial de placas de materiales de madera, en el que se hace reaccionar una solución acuosa de a) urea y formaldehido en una proporción molar de 1:1,5 hasta 2,5 en presencia de 0,2 hasta 1,0 milimoles de un ácido aminosulfónico y 20 a 100 milimoles de amoníaco (siempre referido a 1 mol de urea) a temperaturas de 70 a 95ºC durante 10 a 30 minutos, hasta que la solución al 50 % tenga a 20ºC una viscosidad de 55 hasta 65 cP; b) luego se añaden 0,8 a 10 milimoles de un ácido aminosulfónico, se mantiene con amoníaco un valor de pH de 4,0 a 4,5 durante un tiempo de reacción de 10 a 25 minutos a 70 hasta 95ºC, hasta que la solución al 50 % tenga a 20ºC una viscosidad de 80 hasta 110 cP, y finalmente a este producto de reacción se le añaden c) 40 a 200 milimoles de amoniaco así como 0,1 a 0,3 moles de urea, y la mezcla de reacción se hace reaccionar a una temperatura de 70 a 95ºC durante 15 hasta 45 minutos, hasta que la solución al 50 % tenga a 20ºC una viscosidad de 85 a 125 cP.
