Abstract

Procedimiento e instalación para la nitración en continuo de la celulosa, por un baño de nitración conteniendo una mezcla de ácido nítrico, de ácido sulfúrico y de agua, caracterizado porque: Se inyecta en continuo, bajo presión, de preferencia por medio de una bomba de inyección, una pasta compuesta de una mezcla en cantidades dosificadas, de celulosa y de baño de nitración, en un reactor de nitración constituido por un bucle o circuito curvo de tubería cerrado. Se hace circular dicha pasta en circuito cerrado por este bucle, protegida del aire, por medio de una bomba de circulación montada sobre este bucle, a razón de un caudal de circulación notablemente superior al caudal de inyección de esta pasta en dicho bucle, de modo que se introduce una agitación intensa de la indicada pasta en el referido bucle; se traspasa eventualmente la pasta de este bucle a, por lo menos, un reactor secundario de nitración, igualmente constituido por un bucle cerrado de tubería, con un caudal de transferencia igual al caudal de inyección; se hace circular la pasta transferida en circuito cerrado, por este bucle secundario, mediante una bomba de circulación montada sobre este bucle secundario, a razón de un caudal de circulación notablemente superior a dicho caudal de inyección, de modo que se asegure así una agitación intensa de la pasta; se saca en continuo la pasta de este bucle secundario, a razón de un caudal igual al caudal de inyección, y se recupera la nitrocelulosa así obtenida.
