Abstract

Un procedimiento en dos etapas para conseguir un enlace covalente entre polímeros de látex y sustancias inmunológicas, la primera de las cuales consiste en hacer reaccionar las partículas de látex poseedoras de un grupo carboxilo reactivo con una diamina, en presencia de una carbodiimida apropiada como agente condensante. El producto resultante, que podemos denominar látex modificado, es una amida que termina en grupos amino primarios o secundarios. Este producto se hace reaccionar después con el reactivo inmunológico apropiado, tal como un antígeno o anticuerpo, modificado si es necesario para que contenga grupos amino, en presencia de un aldehído bifuncional para dar lugar a la condensación de los grupos amino del reactivo inmunológico con los grupos amino del látex modificado mediante un radical enlazante aldehídico intermedio.
