Abstract

Procedimiento para la producción de un catalizador de vanadia soportado, para la amoxidación catalítica de un compuesto que contiene al menos un grupo alquilo para formar un nitrilo, caracterizado porque comprende tratar un soporte poroso que tiene un área superficial superior a 50 metros cuadrados por gramo y una porosidad superior a 0,4 cc por gramo con una solución acuosa de un hidróxido de un metal alcalino; y calentar el soporte tratado y vanadia sobre el soporte a una temperatura por encima del punto de fusión de la vanadia, empleándose dicha vanadia y dicho hidróxido de metal alcalino en una cantidad tal que la relación de vanadia a soporte en peso sea de 0,3:1 a 3:1 sustancialmente por completo dentro de los poros del soporte y una relación molar de vanadio metálico a metal alcalino de 2:1 a 30:1.
