Abstract

Perfeccionamientos en pilas de combustible, que comprenden una matriz retentora de electrolito, una capa de catalizador de ánodo dispuesta sobre un lateral de dicha matriz y una capa de catalizador de cátodo dispuesta en el otro lateral de dicha matriz, incluyendo también cada catalizador un área activa en contacto con dicha matriz, caracterizados por comprender una capa de depósito que incluye una porción activa en íntimo contacto con, esencialmente, la totalidad del lateral no enfrontado a matriz de dicha área activa de, por lo menos, una de dichas capas de catalizador, siendo dicha porción activa de dicha capa de depósito porosa continua y totalmente hidrofílica frente al electrolito y esencialmente exenta de catalizador y material hidrofóbico, presentando dicha porción activa de dicha capa de depósito una gama de tamaños de poro distribuida al azar a través de toda la superficie con poros substancialmente no inferiores a los poros mayores de dicha matriz.
