Abstract

Electrode à gaz pour pile à combustible constituée par : - un élément conducteur du courant disposé entre une solution électrolytique et un compartiment à gaz, - une couche catalytique disposée sur au moins une des deux faces dudit élément conducteur, - une couche d'arrêt imperméable à la solution d'électrolyte, mais perméable au gaz, placée sur la face extérieure de la couche catalytique située en regard du compartiment à gaz, caractérisée en ce que la couche catalytique et la couche d'arrêt sont formées par des particules de carbone actif poreux, liées entre elles par une matière plastique chimiquement inerte vis-à-vis du milieu du réaction, dont les pores sont revêtus sur leur face interne d'une matière hydrophobante également chimiquement inerte vis-à-vis du milieu réactionnel. Application envisagée : électrode à gaz pour pile à combustible.
