Abstract
Procedimiento para la preparación de un material absorbente con un elevado poder de absorción y de retención de líquido, para líquidos fisiológicos acuosos, sobre la base de fibras de celulosa reticuladas parcialmente, especialmente formalinizadas, en el que a partir de xantogenato de celulosa, mediante disolución de lejía de sosa acuosa, y dejando madurar la solución para hilatura viscosa, ésta se hila en un baño ácido de hilatura y a continuación se purifican y secan las fibras formadas, que se caracteriza por el hecho de que a la solución de hilatura se añaden 5 a 20% en peso, preferentemente 10% en peso, de carboximetilcelulosa sódica, referido a la celulosa contenida en la solución y el hilo obtenido, después de s u purificación, se reticula parcialmente de forma conocida en sí, en solución ácida, especialmente se formaliniza y a continuación se vuelve a forma la sal sódica.
