Abstract

Perfeccionamientos introducidos en un guíaondas de fibra de vidrio flexible, para la transmisión de radiación óptica o electromagnética, consistiendo dicho guíaondas esencialmente en un miembro de núcleo de vidrio que tiene un primer índice de refracción mínimo para dicha radiación y un revestimiento de vidrio que rodea concéntricamente a dicho núcleo, incluyendo dicho revestimiento de vidrio al menos una capa que tiene un segundo índice de refracción para dicha radiación, el cual es menor que mínimo de dicho primer índice de refracción interna total de dicha radiación óptica en la interfaz de núcleo-revestimiento y para guiar con ello dicha radiación óptica a lo largo de dicho guíaondas.
