Abstract

Un procedimiento para generar un gas de combustión con contenido de metano mediante la reacción de metanol con vapor de agua bajo presión elevada y en presencia de un catalizador que contiene níquel, caracterizado porque el vapor de agua y el metanol son hechos reaccionar entre sí en una relación de pesos de 0,5 a 1,5 a temperaturas de entrada de 300 a 500º en un reactor de trabajo adiabático y bajo una presión comprendida en la gama de 10 a 40 bar, y porque el gas producido, que abandona el reactor a temperaturas de 500 a 700º C, es enfriado seguidamente.
