Abstract

Procedimiento y dispositivo para la conversión de metal fundido en un producto semiterminados y posterior conversión en un producto terminado, en el cual capas delgadas de metal, cada una formada en una unidad de fundición primaria con una superficie de enfriamiento en movimiento sobre la cual se solidifica el metal fundido que proviene de una fuente de metal, se ensamblan en cuerpos de un grosor predeterminado mediante la colocación de las capas en relación cara a cara, teniendo cada capa la temperatura necesaria para soldarse con la superficie de contacto de una capa semejante adyacente y realizándose la soldadura por presión, procedimiento caracterizado porque una pluralidad de las capas delgadas, que se utilizan en la formación de un único producto semiterminados, se forman sobre una única unidad de fundición que tiene solo una superficie de enfriamiento en movimiento.
