Abstract

Procedimiento para obtener óxido de etileno por oxidación catalítica de etileno, que comprende pasar etileno y un gas que contiene oxígeno por una zona de reacción que contiene un lecho fijo de catalizador de plata soportada, bajo condiciones de formación de óxido de etileno, y pasar el producto de reacción así formado por una zona de enfriamiento adyacente a la zona de reacción, estando dicha zona de enfriamiento rellena de un material refractario inerte en partículas que tiene un área superficial de 0.1 m2/g o menos.
