Abstract

The method is for electrical insulation of a thermistor used either as a passive temp. sensor or as an active or dynamic temp. sensor for direct control of an electronic regulator or for regulating the gas supply to a burner in gas-driven or powered appts. is proposed. The method simultaneously provides good heat contact and good electrical insulation between a wall oir a metal housing containing a flexible conductive socket and in whose inner cavity the thermistor is located. The thermistor (1) functions as a dynamic temp. sensor and is accommodated in an electrically insulating intermediate container (3), that is a protective sleeve having at least one orifice or a mesh, such that the transmission factor, i.e. the ratio between the free entrance cross-section through the mesh and the thickness of the material, is as high as is required.
