Abstract

In a linear temperature detector in cable form comprising two conductors, at least one of them having a coating of insulating material that melts under the conditions to be detected, assembled together so that they come into resilient contact and produce a short circuit when the insulating coating melts, at least one of the conductors is constituted by a metallic tube filled with compacted insulating mineral powder having embedded in it at least one auxiliary conductor.
