Abstract
Un método de reparación de una cavidad de erosión en bases de lingoteras y de los fondos de lingoteras metálicas de fondo cerrado que comprende: colorar en dicha cavidad una mezcla de reacción exotérmica que comprende un polvo combustible y un oxido metálico, teniendo la cantidad de dicha mezcla un volumen no mayor de vez y media el volumen de la cavidad, someter a ignición dicha mezcla para formar una masa fundida sobrecalentada que comprende una fase metálica y una fase de escoria, tal que dicha masa fundida esta contenida totalmente en el interior de dicha cavidad, mantener dicha masa fundida en dicha cavidad durante un tiempo suficiente para permitir que dicha masa fundida se separe de modo que dicha fase metálica esta en el fondo y la fase de escoria encima, permitir que dicha masa fundida solidifique con la fase metálica unida con seguridad al fondo de la cavidad y dicha fase de escoria se una con seguridad a dicha fase metálica.
