Abstract

Procedimiento para fijar un cuerpo conformado de material refractario o una cara interna de una lingotera, caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de: (a) poner en contacto un silicato acuoso de metal alcalino, en material refractario particulado, hasta que la viscosidad de la composición adhesiva resultante es de al menos 2.000 poises, medida en una viscometro Brookfield a 201C; (b) formar el cuerpo conformado de material refractario como un cuerpo definidor de indicios de un sustrado de espuma plástica que tiene, por todo él, una composición que comprende material refractario particulado aglomerado con un aglutinante refractario; (c) aplicar la composición adhesiva (a) al cuerpo (b) o la cara del mismo, o bien a ambos; y (d) contactar el cuerpo conformado (c) contra la cara interna de la lingotera, mediante presión, preferentemente durante unos 10 segundos, y sin necesidad de pretratar la lingotera.
