Abstract
Improvements in the construction of electrical grounding bars, comprising a series of busbar segments, each segment comprising a corrosion resistant steel thin-walled tubular shield, a low-impedance metal thin-walled tubular conductor within Said tubular protection a core of semi-rigid material that substantially fills said conductive tube, means for coupling the bar segments between adjacent segments, said coupling means comprising an external protective tubular casing of corrosion-resistant material, a tubular conductor of thin metal wall of low impedance within said tabular envelope in substantially fixed relation to it, stopping means or stops between those removed from said tubular conductor, the ends of said bar segments being arranged and coupling within said coupling means, in such a way that the referred conduc tubular tor is superimposed on the ends of the bar segments and forms an electrical connection therewith, said coupling stops serving to substantially delimit the extent to which said bar segments can extend into said coupling; an insertion tip at one end of said tubular protection, which facilitates penetration into the ground and substantially avoids direct contact between said conductive tube and the ground, said assembly being flexible, but sufficiently rigid for its introduction into the ground.
